I had an enchanting experience at this mountain retreat! The accommodation was absolutely magical, with serene surroundings and a fantastic pool. The staff went above and beyond to provide top-notch service, especially when I lost my phone. However, it's unfortunate that we faced some issues with communication during check-in. Overall, it’s a great spot if you're looking for adventure and relaxation, just be sure to be aware of customer service shortcomings.

Rooms

The rooms were truly unique, offering an incredible view, though I expected a bathtub for a resort of this caliber.
Service

The staff members were all very helpful and kind, especially during our zip lining adventure, but I found communication with reception to be a bit lacking.
Location
9.0
The location is stunning, nestled in nature with the sound of a nearby brook and trails to explore, although access to certain areas might require some effort.

The resort offers a beautiful environment with hot spring pools and mud baths, perfect for a rejuvenating getaway. I enjoyed my stay in a junior suite, which was spacious and provided a great level of comfort. However, the dining options were limited and slightly underwhelming, and the customer service was lacking at times. Despite the steep location requiring transportation for navigation, the wildlife and excursions add a unique charm to the experience.

Rooms

The junior suite was spacious and quite comfortable, though I had some issues with the AC being too cold at times.
Service
6.0
While staff at the pool bar were friendly, I found the front desk service to be quite lacking, with long response times and less helpful attitudes.
Location
7.0
The resort is situated on a hillside, making travel between areas a bit challenging without a shuttle service, but the surrounding nature and wildlife is mesmerizing.
Dining
5.0
Dining was okay, with limited variety and somewhat bland flavors; options felt repetitive during my stay.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities include hot springs, pools, and various excursion activities, but some require maintenance and could improve.

We had an interesting stay at this hotel. The rooms were stunning with impressive wood ceilings, but the mountain view was a letdown. While the thermal baths and spa were enjoyable, the lack of lighting and safety concerns dampened the experience. The dining options were limited, but we found a few dishes we enjoyed. Overall, it's a quite peaceful place but not without some significant flaws.

Rooms
7.0
The bungalow we stayed in was visually beautiful with high ceilings, though the bathroom could use an update. The mountain view was honestly disappointing for the price.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly for the most part, but there were some mix-ups with our orders.
Location
6.0
The hotel is set in a very remote area, which adds to its tranquility, but it can be quite a trek to get to the restaurant or spa.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were somewhat limited and could be better. Although I enjoyed the sea bass, breakfast choices were basic.
Facilities
5.0
The thermal baths and spa facilities were nice, but the lack of safety and visibility at night was concerning.

My experience at Hotel Borinquen was absolutely magical! Tucked away at the end of a rugged dirt road, the resort opened up to lush grounds filled with wildlife. The hot springs and mud baths were an incredible way to unwind after thrilling activities like zip-lining and horseback riding. The attentive and friendly staff made everything even better. However, do be prepared for the nighttime travel on those uneven roads, as it felt a bit limiting. Overall, I would highly recommend this oasis for anyone wanting adventure blended with relaxation.

5.2/10

The property is visually stunning with plenty of wildlife to enjoy, including monkeys and coatis. The rooms are nice, but unfortunately, the beds and pillows leave much to be desired. The dining options are expensive for what you get, and while breakfast was decent, I found myself wanting more variety. Be prepared for a rough road to get there and to bring your own essentials as the location is quite remote.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were visually appealing but extremely uncomfortable due to bad beds and pillows.
Service
5.0
The service was a mixed bag; while some staff were pleasant, others were unhelpful and inattentive.
Location
6.0
The secluded location offers gorgeous natural beauty but requires a rough drive and careful planning for food and amenities.
Dining
5.0
Dining was pricey and options were limited; breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner left a lot to be desired.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities like the steam room and mud baths were enjoyable, but overall maintenance was lacking.
